Irini Drosou Aerienitri
At the Boutari Winery she exhibits art work of mixed technique (oil paintings, spatoula on a canvas and structures hanging on walls She has been recognized by the Society of Arts Speech & Science for UNESCO.Her inspiration is her place of origin and the lava that dominates the island. Her strong sense of imangination leads her to a world where dreams struggle with reality. With her art work made of lava she looks into how natural materials are embodied in her artistic creations Her travels around the world and at the museums of modern art in New York, London and Paris, have been such an inspiration that you can see the imprints in her art work. With the use of collage and inlaying of substances and non-artistic materials she wants to give new meaning to her aesthetic quests. She takes advantage of the texture of objects, incorporates them in her art work and turns them into three-dimensional sculptural shapes that hang on walls.

ATLANTIS
“ATLANTIS” , myth or today’s reality: A past that insists on the future
and demands to become reality. Its beauty is inconceivable, its intransigence shakes.
Through the evolution of technology, our present appears miniscule on its chaos.
The thought, the fantasy, the art as the initial core of the cosmic time, unites
the myth with reality through this exhibition which shows lava materials, volcano ashes and colours, joining them in penetrating tne far end of the inner self’s explosion. This visual art fair coexists interactively, with music specifically composed for this theme by composer Laoura Gini laouragini@hotmail.com and with special lighting from Sakis Birbilis www.sakisbirbilis.com, a theatrical designer of lighting and illustrations. The quest of the relationship between music, light and colour in a visual approach, creates meanings that express the past, the present and the future, revealing the secret and nature’s character, by receiving and giving a divine message.
Atlantis, is a wonderful journey that began for me long ago, allowing me to enter the path of self-discovery and profound introspection. Atlantis is an assemblage of the myth and the reality surrounding fhe myth and its destruction: it is a journey oscillating between feelings of ego, pride, arrogance and vanity.
